I looked into the stagnant water and saw my reflection. I was wondering then, does it make me different from others? Or the reflection I can’t see anywhere.
Who I am, I tried to find out and then I saw my reflection. Interestingly not in mirror and water but in my friend I came across today after long.
I asked him, where was he? What was he doing? He looked at me with a gentle smile and said: – I was finding myself. I was little surprised by the question because I was also fiddling with the same irony. Still keeping my composure, I calmed myself down and asked, “I didn’t get you?”
Well, that gentle smile was still there and said, “Yes! Once you told me to follow my dreams and to opt art as my profession, so I am doing that and I am doing pretty well in that.”
I wasn’t much aware the exact day I said this to him but I sigh with the relief, “Really”?
Then we shook hands, chatted a bit then we bade “Bye” to each other.
I was looking down on my toes and tapping my feet in harmony while walking. Seems unrelated? Isn’t it?
You will get to know how it is related.
Then I went back, stood against the mirror and saw a reflection. Reflection of my inner self.
We are not what we look or what we say or what we do, we are what we think and what we aspire.
For everyone, aspiration is their identity. Unknowingly my thoughts have affected someone’s life and this is my “Reflection”.
If you want to know who you are, how much you have been loved and encouraged, just rove your eyes on people around you. What difference your presence is making in their lives.
Do they listen to you, do they follow you, do they want to steal something from your character, and do your thoughts invoke them.
This is “Who you are”.
Do you aspire to impress or you aspire to inspire?
Big difference. I smirked, with euphony.
Just make an impact in others life with your thoughts, you would never know, on which street you will meet yourself.
Aspire to inspire souls around you and then you’ll be watching your harmonious toes.
